Cave Country offers more than diving. Florida's spring systems are surrounded by natural areas worth exploring on their own — even for the non-diver in your group.

Tubing & Snorkeling

Many local springs welcome tubes and snorkelers. The Ichetucknee River is one of Florida's most popular tubing destinations — a clear, spring-fed river through protected forest and hardwood swamp.

Kayaking & Canoeing

The Suwannee River and its spring tributaries are excellent paddling destinations. Half-day and full-day routes run through old-growth floodplain and past spring-fed blue holes you can paddle right up to.

Swimming & Picnicking

Florida's first-magnitude springs maintain a constant 68℉ year-round — refreshing in summer, warm in winter. Most spring parks offer swimming areas, picnic facilities, and nature trails.

Wildlife & Nature

The region is home to manatees, ospreys, otters, and abundant freshwater fish. Early morning kayak trips frequently turn up manatee sightings in cooler months. The surrounding Suwannee River Water Management District lands are open to hikers, birders, and wildlife photographers.
